'Boom Beat' presents the young social group between 16-21 in many ways. It is representing this group because this is who the magazine is aimed towards and this age group also appears in the magazine. Due to the way the boy band is dressed in the music magazine you could say that the magazine shows this social group as a very urban and up to date one. It challenges the general media of this group which is 'hoodies', they are usually thought by the media as very rude, provocative and related in many crimes. However, 'Boom Beat' makes them look like a very successful social group who have worked hard and achieved their potential. Another code and convention that reinforces what I said about the images presenting the social group as a very urban one is the font. The font is very urban and fresh and suggests that the social group is an urban one. Furthermore the masthead name of the magazine suggests a very outgoing social group which is very successful and well motivated.
